Schedule and Holidays

Our Fall 2023 program began on Saturday September 9th. However we welcome new students year round.

There will be no classes on the following holidays: Indigenous Peoples' Day, Thanksgiving break (Wed-Sun), & Holiday break (December 16th through Jan. 1st), MLK Day, Monday -Saturday of February and April School Vacations and Memorial Day.

Please contact the school if your child is absent due to  an illness, or vacation. Keep your child home if they are sick, and return only after a sufficient period of time following illness. We want to prevent the spread illnesses to other students or teachers. Students who miss classes are encouraged to take a make up class at the same level of instruction.  Please check with the teacher for an appropriate make up class.

Weather Related Cancellations

In case of snow or other unforseen nasty weather conditions we follow the belief of safety first.  If public school is cancelled (please check with Nauset school system) we will also be closed.   Many of our teachers and students travel a great distance to come to the studio, and the safety of everyone in the Reaching Heart community is important to us.  Students who miss classes due to weather are invited to come take an extra class during the semester.

Proper Attire

Students at all levels should look neat with hair secured off of their face.   Our littlest dancers (enrolled in Creative Movement and Prima 1 and 2 ) should come to class with pink tights, pink ballet slippers, any solid color leotard, tap shoes for students with tap, and hair neatly secured in a bun or off of their face.

All students Ballet 1 and above should wear pink tights, ballet slippers, and the leotard color appropriate for their level, please check with office staff.

Students in Jazz should have appropriate shoes, attire, and hair kept off the face. Please check with your teacher on the first day of class for dress code preferences.  Students should wear jazz pants or leggings with a leotard for jazz classes.

Please check lost and found for missing items, it will be cleaned out regularly and items will be disposed of or donated. If you are missing items, please check the lost and found. Label all dance items including shoes to avoid missing items, as we have many students in our school who own the same items!
